First few days

Wednesday, June 25, we left America to go to Israel. Here is a photo of us at the airport before we left.

On the airplane to Heathrow, England, I drank two cans of coke and when I thought to myself "is it gonna be comfortable to sleep or not?" I couldn't sleep the whole time. Instead, I watched 3 and a half movies: Rio, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Lego Movie, and half of Frozen.

Once we got to the airport in England, we stopped at a shop and bought jelly beans. Then we got on the plane to go to Israel and I fell asleep.

We landed in Israel on Thursday, June 26. The airport has the biggest mezuzah Jonah and I have ever seen.

We drove towards Jerusalem but there was a lot of traffic when we got near there. It was rush hour. So we stopped at McDonald's for dinner!

We finally came to our home in Jerusalem and went to sleep.

After a great Shabbat, we went to see a movie on Sunday at the Jerusalem Time Machine.
The seats moved liked a roller coaster while we watched the movie. It told the story of the history of Jerusalem.

Later in the day we went swimming at our friend's hotel. The pool was on the roof. It was fantastic!

Today we went to Machane Yehuda (a shuk, or outdoor marketplace). They had a lot of candy there:

We drove by the old city of Jerusalem and I got to see the Dome of the Rock from a distance.

Tomorrow is my first day of camp. I can't wait! I will write about it after I come home.
